The Canada-U.S. Institute

Established by The University of Western Ontario in 2010, The Canada-U.S. Institute is the first interdisciplinary think tank in Canada devoted exclusively to studying our country's relationship with the United States. The primary objective of the Institute is to provide timely and policy relevant research and analysis on the political, economic, historical, legal, and cultural dimensions of the Canada-U.S. relationship

Critical Issues of Our Time

This quarterly publication series, introduced in 2009, features articles that comment on a wide range of political, cultural, social, and economic issues facing the United States. All issues can be viewed in PDF format, and extra copies are available at the Centre for American Studies.

NeoAmericanist, affiliated with and funded by the Centre for American Studies at the University of Western Ontario, is an exclusively Undergraduate and Graduate, peer-reviewed and blinded journal. The goal of the editors is to push the boundaries of scholarship and theory by blurring the lines of academic disciplines and popular culture through a top quality journal available to students and future scholars.

Body Electric

Introduced in 2012, Body Electric is the first printed graduate journal exclusively for Americanists studying at Western. Focussing on a different theme each issue, the journal offers a forum for graduate students to publish and have their work recognized by their peers.

Speaking Out

Speaking Out is an electronic publication consisting of commentaries written by our students in the MA Program in American Studies. These commentaries will focus on a wide range of political, cultural, and historical issues that should be of interest to fellow academics, policy makers, journalists, and members of the attentive public.
